As well as general advice on the housing market, we can offer you advice on the legal side of your sale or purchase. We have two solicitors each working with their paralegals who can act on your behalf. It can sometimes be quite hard to understand the wording of some of the paperwork, we are on hand to assist with any difficulties you may have.
As soon as your property comes on the market, our legal department starts work on the conveyancing for your sale. Your title deeds will be requested so we can obtain a P16 report from the Registers of Scotland. This allows us to compare the boundaries on your title deeds against the ordnance survey maps. There can sometimes be discrepancies with the boundaries - it is easier that we are aware of any problems as soon as possible, so we can arrange to have them sorted out prior to offers coming in.
As soon as you see a property you wish to pursue contact our solicitors, Anderson MacArthur on 01851 70 3356. One of our solicitors will advise you of your next step. If it is a property we are selling, we may have to refer you to another local solicitor to avoid any conflict of interest.
Should you decide that you wish to prepare a will, one of our solicitors can advise you on this. As part of this process you will need to appoint Executors who will make sure your wishes are carried out.
